No files listed on floppy diskette due to diskette was reformatted.
Cause:
Floppy diskette was accidentally reformatted.
Solution:
Use the UNFORMAT command in a DOS window or use another unformatting utility program.
NOTE 1: Low level formatting destroys all existing data on a diskette and cannot be undone.
NOTE 2: The following steps are instructions for using the UNFORMAT command for DOS 7.0 (the DOS version of Windows 95).
1) Open a DOS Window.
2) Properly insert the floppy diskette into the floppy drive and shut the drive door.
3) At the DOS prompt, type 'A:' and press ENTER. (To change drives to the 'A' drive)
4) Type UNFORMAT A: and press ENTER.
NOTE: Low level formatting a floppy diskette destroys all existing data on the diskette and cannot be undone. If the 'Cannot find mirror control file' message appears, the diskette cannot be unformatted.
5) Type the following at the DOS prompt and press ENTER after each command:
C: EXIT
